Sunny beautiful day yesterday in Toronto.
Much needed spring feeling after the cold weather last few weeks.
It seems like spring migration is starting with full force with the appearance of a big group of Golden-crowned/Ruby-crowned Kinglets, Hermit Thrush, all the Herons as well as Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers in Toronto.
Many more are to be expected to arrive soon and it should reach to the peak by the first two weeks of May.
This is always an exciting time of the year as we get to see all the migratory birds come back to Toronto and some to stay for nesting.
We are not early morning birders as much as we would like to be.
We love our precious sleep in the morning on the weekends but yesterday we were up by 6:30 and at the park by 8:45!
We have spent most of the day at the park and walked to Cherry beach on the way home.
Tommy Thompson Park is one of the beautiful parks in Toronto.
View of the Skyline of Toronto from the spit is breathtaking and it is worth visiting even you are not birders.
Well, for birders, this place is a paradise.
Some of the highlights of the days are below.
You can see the yellow color on its belly.
Hermit Thrush is known for its beautiful songs.
Really cute sparrow. Pink chubby beak! It was hopping around in front of us showing us the way.
Something else….to tell you Spring is here
Happy Birding 🐤🐤🐤🐤
